The Singapore Malay Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SMCCI), was established in 1956 and is an independent non-profit organization. We play a proactive role in representing the interests of the local Malay/Muslim business community.

In line with our mission to nurture a vibrant entrepreneurial culture amongst local enterprises, SMCCI serves as a platform to create invaluable opportunities for members through regular business missions, conferences, networking sessions and activities to bridge members and the business community to the local and overseas markets. Together with our subsidiary, SME Centre @SMCCI, we advocate strengthening core competencies while increasing knowledge and enhancing internal capabilities to achieve growth and success for their businesses.

A strategic partner of Enterprise Singapore, SME Centre @ SMCCI was established in 2006 as a one-stop centre for local small and medium enterprises (SMEs), offering a comprehensive range of advisory and business services including seminars, workshops, one-on-one complimentary business advisory, productivity assessments and more.

[@smcciacademy] Currently serving as the Executive Director, she steers SMCCI's operations in alignment with SMCCI's mission to empower the Malay/Muslim business community in Singapore. Collaborating closely with the board of directors and secretariats, she drives strategic initiatives to fulfil organizational objectives. Her tenure at SMCCI has been enriching. Working within an industry that allows her to effect meaningful change is a privilege she deeply cherish.

She has over 15 years of experience in consulting and training industry undertaking various roles in the areas of learning & development, product development, business development, customer service and center management. Khiryati was a Business Development Manager of Global Knowledge (Asia Pacific), responsible for the set up and developing business in Malaysia. In the same tenure, she had also successfully acquired the ‘Cisco Authorized Partner ‘ status award as well as Microsoft, Nortel, Cabletron and Compaq ‘Training Partner’ status for Global Knowledge training sites in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. In the academic space, Khiryati has 5 years of experience in managing a private academic institution which offers Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Degree courses in Singapore. Mdm Yati Khairi shares in her keynote address her latest endeavour as Co-Founder of kindergarten chain 'Blue Dolphin Playskool' across Indonesia and the learning lessons she gathered along the way.

Dato' Khadijah Ibrahim, also known as Khaty Ibrahim, is a renowned Malaysian singer and actress. She began her careeer as an artist at the age of 19. Her song "Kupendam Sebuah Duka" brought her fame in the Malaysian entertainment industry. Dato' Khadijah Ibrahim is one of the few Malaysian singers who has successfully released solo albums over four consecutive decades, alongside Dato' M Nasir, Anita Sarawak, the late Datuk Sharifah Aini, Ramlah Ram, Dato' Jamal Abdillah, Dato' Hattan and Noraniza Idris. In recent years, Dato' Khadijah Ibrahim ventured into the food and beverage (F&B) industry with significant success. She founded her own brand, Khadeeja's Kitchen, which offers a variety of Malaysian and international cuisines. Her restaurant is known for its quality and authenticity, attracting a diverse clientele. Dato' Khadijah's entrepreneurial journey in F&B reflects her passion for cooking and her dedication to promoting Malaysian culinary heritage. Her ability to transition from a celebrated artist to a successful entrepreneur demonstrates her versatility and resilience. She continues to expand her business, focusing on maintaining high standards and delivering exceptional dining experiences.

With 20 years of industry experience, MyagenC is a boutique agency offering unique and specialized marketing solutions, they deliver effective campaigns, employing methodologies across all marketing disciplines. Along the way, She have also founded her own health supplement company, Nomeno Singapore. She saw many women around her suffering badly from perimenopausal and menopausal symptoms. This product was created to provide a solution to women, by woman.

With extensive banking experience at DBS, OCBC, UOB and Standard Chartered Bank, Hilwah developed profound financial acumen before transitioning into entrepreneurship. In 2016, she launched Aurora Kidz, swiftly gaining success with placements in top retailers like Takashimaya and Isetan. Expanding her ventures with a commitment to excellence and a passion for helping families find the perfect household support, Hilwah co-founded a maid employment agency in 2017, leading to the establishment of Hilwah Maid Agency Pte Ltd. In 2020, she introduced Aurora Employment Services Pte Ltd, offering tailored solutions. Internationally, she founded PT Hilwah Aurora Antarabangsa and PT Hilwah Aurora International in Indonesia, focusing on domestic worker supply and industry collaboration. Further diversifying in 2023 with HH Creatives Services and HMA Entertainment, Hilwah's Journey is characterised by resilience and excellence, cementing her position as a visionary leader in the business realm.
Zarifah Rasid (Owner at The Fluffy Chef)

Zarifah Rasid is the dynamic young owner of The Fluffy Chef, a Muslim-friendly restaurant specializing in Italian cuisine, which she opened in September 2023 with a former classmate from the Sunrice Global Chef Academy, where she graduated in 2018. Before establishing The Fluffy Chef, Zarifah briefly co-owned another Italian restaurant with two friends in 2019 but decided to venture out on her own to open her pizzeria. Currently, she is in the process of buying back her shares to become the sole owner of The Fluffy Chef, following her business partner's departure earlier this year. SHe has invested around $100,000 into the eatery, using funds from selling her shares in her previous restaurant, combined with her own savings. When asked about the unique name, Zarifah shared that when they first started, people kept coming in asking for pancakes and waffles, but they've since come to know that it's an Italian restaurant. She enjoys watching American stand-up comedian Gabriel Iglesias, who has a joke that goes, "I'm not fat, I'm fluffy," a nickname she's embraces since secondary school, she laughs.
